VISA GUIDELINES, CATEGORIES, REQUIREMENTS, FEE AND INSTRUCTIONS

All types of visas are to be applied online from the webpage: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/ 

Fees are to paid only at the High Commission counter in cash.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

• ◙ Only recent passport size color photograph showing full frontal view of the face  without dark/coloured glasses will be accepted.
  
  
• ◙ Cases requiring reference will be granted Visa only after receipt of approval from concerned authorities.
  
  
• ◙ The High Commission has the sole discretion to determine duration of the Visa and the number of Entries in each case. Visa can be refused to any person without assigning any reason.
  
  
• ◙ Visa fee once accepted will not be refunded.
  
  
• ◙ Additional documents may be sought and a personal interview may be warranted, if required.
  
  
• ◙ Validity of Visa starts from the date of issue of the visa.

• ◙ PIO/OCI card holders will require prior permission of the Government of India to undertake any missionary, mountaineering and research work
  
  
• ◙ All visa fee excludes CFA 2,000 towards ICWF as service charges
  
  
• ◙ All visa applicants from Gabon should have the Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate

Requirement of documents for all types of visa

• ◙ Original and copies of the relevant pages of the passport with six-month validity on the date of journey
  
  
• ◙ Two recent Passport size photographs showing full frontal view of the face without dark/coloured glasses
  
  
• ◙ Printed copy of the Online Visa Application Form, duly completed.
  
  
• ◙ Copy of the national Identity Card /copy of residence permit in case of a foreigner
  
  
• ◙ Booking confirmation of accommodation and air ticket
  
  
• ◙ Copy Yellow fever Vaccination card

Additional Documents required

• ◙ Provisional admission or confirmed admission letter from a recognized educational institution in India.
  
  
• ◙ A letter of financial support from the parent/Guardian accompanied by a Bank Guarantee/Certificate for the duration of course/study.
  
  
• ◙ Proof on financial standing
  
  
• ◙ Knowledge in English is compulsory
  
  
• ◙ Student Visa holders are required to register with the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO)/Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) within 14 days of arrival in India.

Additional Documents required

• ◙ Medical documents establishing the need for taking medical treatment in India. Medical Reports translated in English / Hospital or doctor’s Reference/s
  
  
• ◙ Proof of availability of sufficient funds for stay in India including the expenses for medical treatment by producing documents such as Bank statement, Salary certificate, sponsorship letter etc
  
  
• ◙ A letter of Admission from the recognized hospital/doctor in India.
  
  
• ◙ Reservation on accommodation/ air ticket

Additional Documents required

• ◙ A letter of request from a business establishment in Gabon and letter of invitation from Indian Company
  
  
• ◙ Copy of the commercial document (a copy of the registration permit and a copy of affiliation to a national or regional chamber of Commerce)
  
  
• ◙ Proof on financial standing

Additional Documents required

• ◙ Letter of Invitation from organizers in India and from the company in resident country
  
  
• ◙ Clearances from competent authorities in India for holding the conference

Additional Documents required

• ◙ Copy of the national Identity Card /copy of residence permit in case of a foreigner
  
  
• ◙ Photocopy of the onward journey ticket.

Additional Documents required

• ◙ Note Verbale from the applicant's Embassy/parent Ministry indicating the purpose of the visit.
  
  
• ◙ In case of Congolese officials and diplomats visiting for official purpose to India a Note Verbale from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is needed.

Note: An Entry Visa is normally granted to a person of Indian origin (who is not a holder of PIO/OCI cards) or for a specific purpose not covered under other categories of visas

• ◙ Employment Letter from Indian employer;
  
  
• ◙ Employment Contract (original and photocopy);
  
  
• ◙ Minimum salary: US $ 25,000 per annum [Except for ethnic cooks, language teachers (other than English language teachers/translators)].

• ◙ Invitation letter from India, if any;
  
  
• ◙ Copy of his accreditation. A Journalist Visa intended to make documentaries etc in India; six weeks are required to process the application.

• ◙ Original letter of admission/offer letter from a recognized Indian university/institute;
  
  
• ◙ Affidavit of financial support It is a mandatory requirement for all Foreigners arriving on Research Visa to register themselves with the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) within 14 days of arrival in India.

Additional Documents required

• ◙ Letter from Indian company awarding contract to foreign company, specifying details about the foreign company, project (including location, duration), total number of workers (highly skilled/skilled/semi-skilled) required to be sent by foreign company to India
  
  
• ◙ Letter from Applicant’s Employer (brief description of its projects in India, nature of work in India)
